Our Story

Established in 2025, El Capulin is locally owned and operated, born from a passion to bring vibrant, flavorful food and a warm, welcoming environment to the heart of South Warren District. Conveniently located near Chaney’s Dairy Barn and Michael O. Buchanan Park, we’re proud to be part of the Richpond community and excited to serve as a hub for good food, great drinks, and even better company.
El Capulin was founded with one goal: to create a place where guests could enjoy traditional-style Mexican dishes in a space that feels like home. Fairly new restaurant located in south Warren County. The atmosphere is about what you would expect as far as the motif and table layout. Very clean and well kept. The food was very good! All three members of our little party enjoyed their dishes. The Birria tacos were well made and very tasty! Everyone got their own bowl of salsa, and the chips were fresh and still hot. Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants in town.
